Bus Transport

Pilgrims, we recall fondly our Caminos past when “Pilgrims helping Pilgrims” was all we needed to make sure everyone got where they needed to go.  That helping, visiting, sharing and camaraderie was, and remains, a staple of the experience of pilgrimage.  A few years back, our growth compelled us to enlist the aid of motorcoaches to complement ride-sharing, to ensure that we met the transportation needs of all comers.  Now nigh on to our seventh sojourn on the Baby Steps Camino, we find we are victims of our success.  The numbers of pilgrims needing assistance, over an increased number of segments on more (and more expensive) buses, have driven us to a decision of cataclysmic proportions.  After years of contemplation, trepidation and prayer, for the 2023 Baby Steps Camino we will encourage a voluntary donation of $10 per pilgrim per day if they elect to use motorcoach transportation on any or all Camino days.  The donation would be submitted at the time of registration for bus transportation, and applies only to the number of days you actually ride the bus.  Please understand that this donation will not cover the full cost of the motorcoaches, but it will provide a greatly needed subsidy, so we can keep every other aspect of Baby Steps Camino free of charge for our pilgrims.  And, as ever, if you do not avail yourself of the motorcoach transportation, your whole Camino remains free.

The donation is voluntary, as we never want money to be an obstacle to your blessed pilgrimage experience.
